Center Director La Grange
The Center Director is responsible for:
management and supervision of the Head Start/Early Head Start site operations;
and providing direction, guidance, support and supervision to staff.

Associate, baccalaureate, or advanced degree including at least 6 college courses (18 hours) in early childhood education* and/or child development*. and 6 college credit hours in business management;
OR
Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential and progress toward pursuit of college degree in early childhood education or child development; AND Five (5) years of experience teaching infant - 5 year old children in a licensed child care center, and supervisory trainings, skills and experience. Experience teaching in an Early Head Start or Head Start Program facility.

*Courses must qualify as defined per Head Start and TDFPS. (Any degrees, semester hours, or diplomas required to meet minimum qualifications must be obtained from an accredited educational institution. Education documents must reflect that the minimum requirements are met.)

Center Director / Head Start Teacher Cedar Creek The Center Director / Head Start Teacher is responsible for:
management and supervision of center operations
providing direction, guidance, support and supervision to staff
supervising and instructing children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth

Associate's of Applied Science degree in Child Development or a closely related field with six (6) college credit hours in child development and six (6) college credit hours in Business Management. A "closely related field" is any educational instruction pertaining to the growth, development, physical or mental care, or education of children ages birth to five (5)
AND
At least two (2) years of experience working with children 0-5 in a licensed child care center and one (1) year of experience working in a Head Start program
Knowledge and experience in: child development and early childhood education; the principles of child health, safety, and nutrition; adult learning principles; and family dynamics

Must be eligible to qualify as a Center Director under TDFPS Minimum Standards, which includes six (6) college credit hours in business management or possession of acceptable director's certification

The Head Start Teacher is responsible for supervising and instructing children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Associate degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related program with 12 college credit hours related to Child Development, Early Childhood Education; or at least 60 college credit hours towards a Bachelor's degree in CD/ECE to be completed within 12 months of hire date;
AND
One (1) year of experience teaching toddlers in a child care facility and/or classroom setting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.

The EHS Teacher is responsible for maintaining a classroom environment that is nurturing, consistent, stable, and supportive in establishing close relationships with the infants and toddlers in care. Will be responsible for developing appropriate lesson plans, and individualized learning experiences for infants and toddlers up to age three (3); May provide guidance of classroom volunteers and substitutes; Participates in home visits and parent/teacher conferences and works to fully involve families in our program.

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
High School Diploma/GED.
Experience working with children ages 0 - 3 in a licensed child care facility;
Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential as required for position.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
Must pass a background check along with Tuberculosis screening.

Head Start Teacher Assistant Cedar Creek The Head Start Teacher Assistant position is responsible for assisting the classroom Teacher with supervision and instruction of children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Teacher Assistant may lead the classroom in the absence of the Head Start Teacher

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to become certified
Have a Childhood Development Associate (CDA) certificate or state-awarded equivalent or the ability to obtain certification within one (1) year of employment
One (1) year of experience working with Pre-School aged children in a licensed childcare center
Bilingual preferred

The Early Head Start Floater Teacher position is responsible for relieving the classroom staff for breaks or absence and assisting in the instruction of children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to become certified
Six (6) months of experience working with Pre-School aged children in a licensed childcare center
Valid Texas Driver's License
Bilingual preferred

Substitute Teacher Assistants and Cooks All locations The Classroom Substitute will assist with classroom activities and supervision of assigned children in the absence of regular teaching staff as directed by the Center/Site Director and/or other center staff

High School Diploma/GED and eagerness to work with children ages 0-5 years in an educational setting.

Works as needed/Temporary position.
