Hearts of Texas encourages volunteers! It takes all of us to have happy and healthy communities.
If you are not interested in volunteering directly in the classroom, you may donate items, do maintenance work, or assist in the office.
Anyone that wishes to volunteer in the classroom on a regular basis must complete a criminal background check. Any person with felony convictions, sex offender convictions and/or open investigations into any criminal activities will not be permitted to volunteer. Once clearance is received, regular volunteers must be trained.
Please speak with your local center about volunteer opportunities.
The Policy Council is a group of parents and community members. These members are important leaders that use their voice and perspective to influence decision and policy making for Hearts of Texas. It is an essential part of the Governance structure that helps guide the program. Policy Council meets once a month.
